Flood Control in Fargo

Last spring the Red River reached its highest level in recorded history. Donald spent three days working as a volunteer sandbagger in Fargo, ND. The buildings in the pictures below appear to be river-front property, but that's only because of the flooding. In normal times, the water is out of sight behind a distant row of trees.

Connie's cousin Heather lives in Fargo, and she came to stay with us in the Twin Cities for a few days just in case the levees didn't hold. All's well that ends well. The sandbaggers succeeded in their mission and most of the city was undamaged.
