Our Local Flora

Our neighborhood is full of interesting plants — some of them are beautiful and others are just...interesting. This year, for the first time ever, our "Hens and Chicks" plant sprouted big ugly blossoms. Meanwhile, our neighbor across the street had the tallest mega-dandelion you've ever seen.

Our trees get bigger every year and they don't always respect our airspace. Connie is glad that Donald isn't afraid to cut them down to size.

A few doors down the street, our friend Eldora has a green thumb and the blossoms to prove it. But an early October snow brought our enjoyment of her flowers to an untimely end.
