Ladies' Day at the Gun Club

When the Dakota Gun Club offered an open house for women only, Connie decided it was time for her first hands-on experience with fire arms. Under the supervision of gun club regulars, the ladies tried out a variety of weapons and targets. The "cowboy shoot" involved antique revolvers and rifles. At the pistol range Connie fired a .22 revolver five times and hit the paper target twice. The scope rifle was like looking through a microscope. The hardest part was lining up her eye with the scope while wearing glasses (the supervisor insisted she keep the glasses on). It took about three minutes to line up for a shot with lots of coaching. Connie decided she doesn't want to become a sniper.
