Bethany

Our daughter, Bethany, tried her hand at urban gardening this summer, growing flowers and lots of vegetables in her small back yard in St. Paul. Her landlady's beagles were not always helpful to the cause, but house cat, Pangur, lent moral support from a safe distance. He is pictured below at his command center in the bathroom (he sleeps in the wash basin.) The little girl in the green dress adopted Bethany at the brunch following Donald's brother's wedding. This child decided Bethany was her personal lounge chair, although they'd never met before. A noteworthy trip for Bethany was her visit to Timothy and Amanda in Philadelphia. They took her to see the historic sites, local works of art, and a "sheep and wool festival." The photo at the bottom captures Bethany in a pensive moment.
